2007 Queste

Provenance:

TR Elliott Queste Pinot Noir is a cuvée of 33 barrels of wine. We selected 21 barrels from our Hallberg Vineyard and another 12 from our O’Connell Vineyard. Dijon clones, a long, cool growing season and the Gold Ridge sandy loam soils are typical of both Vineyards.

Color:

The color is a dark brick red, with some purplish hues on the rim of the glass.

Aromatics:

The elegance of the 777 clone, the aromatics of the 115 clone, and the concentration of the Elite and Pommard clones are all evident. 2007 Queste opens with deep intensity, sweet black cherry, and layer upon layer of dark fruit, and finishes with leather, burnt sugar, vanilla and caramel.

Palate:

The wine has a broad and yummy mouth feel, and is big without being overbearing. This is a great aging wine with soft chocolate tannins, texture, dark cherry and mushroom flavors with forest floor terroir. The 2007 Queste is a classic.

2007 Three Plumes

Provenance:

TR Elliott Three Plumes TR Elliott Three Plumes Pinot Noir is acuvée of 6 barrels of wine, comprised of 5 1/2 barrels selected from our Hallberg Vineyard and 1/2 barrel selected from our O’Connell Vineyard. Both vineyards are located along the Vine Hill Ridge in the western reaches of the Russian River Valley.

Color:

The color is a very pretty cherry red.

Aromatics:

The aroma is intense and deep. There are immediate red currant, violet and raspberry notes, blended with fig,
vanilla and pepper. Hints of nutmeg, orange peel and allspice recede to black cherry and cola.

Palate:

The palate is bright and clean, with tastes of cherries, holiday spices, sweet vanilla and pepper. Three Plumes
is an elegant wine with a silky and delicate texture, a medium body and a nice balance between tartness and
richness. It finishes with layers of fruit and terroir.

2007 Burgonet

Provenance:

TR Elliott Burgonet Pinot Noir is a cuvée of six barrels of wine. We selected five barrels from our O’Connell Vineyard and one from our Hallberg Vineyard. A long, cool growing season and Gold Ridge sandy loam soils are typical of both Vineyards.

Color:

The color is a rich and beautiful cherry red.

Aromatics:

The aromatics are intense, yet pleasurable; rich and spicy, filled with bright red fruits.

Palate:

The concentration of the Pommard clone is evident in Burgonet. The taste opens with cinnamon, coriander and cardamom, followed by red cherry and vanilla. The long finish hints of game and forest floor. Burgonet is rich with a soft and elegant structure. This is an opulent and wonderful wine that will delight the palate for many years.

TR Elliott Quest TR Elliott Queste Pinot Noir is a cuvée of 22 barrels of wine. We selected 15 barrels from our Hallberg Vineyard wine and another 7 from our O’Connell Vineyard wine and blended them together to make the 2006 Queste. wine and another 7 from our O’Connell Vineyard wine and blended them together to make the 2006 Queste.

Color:

The color is a bright plum with some purplish hues on the rim of the glass.

Aromatics:

Tromas of cherries and dark rose are overlain with blackberry and figs. This is followed by the interplay of a seductive vanilla and sandalwood, white with blackberry and figs. TR Elliott Three Plumes Pinot Noir is a cuvée of 13 barrels of wine, selected entirely from our Hallberg Vineyard.

Color:

The color is a very pretty translucent cherry red.

Aromatics:

The aroma opens with vanilla, holiday spices, ripe strawberry and other juicy bright red fruit, and is permeated with delicate floral notes. Hints of leather and terroir abound.

Palate:

This wine tastes of red berries and cinnamon. It has nice acidity, a medium weight and texture, and a refreshing finish with a hint of coffee and spice. The character is the delicate balance between terroir and fruit, between softness and firm tannins.

Color:

The color is like a dark red jewel with clarity and depth

Aromatics:

Blackberry, blueberry and dark cherry fruits mixed with enticing candied aromas
lead to hints of cinnamon and violets. Always there is leather and must in the background.

Palate:

The red cherry and dark plum tastes linger as an earthy mushroom-filled sense of terroir leads to thyme-like spices. The color is a youthful garnet red with a deep ruby rim on the glass.

Aromatics:

Fresh spiced peach and raspberries, plus vanilla and cola are blended with aromas of creamy black cherry pie.

Palate:

Black cherry and vanilla flavors integrate into the soft tannin structure while smooth cola texture leads to a lingering finish of plum and almond.

Color:

The color is a beautiful red with attractive raspberry and ruby hues.

Aromatics:

The aroma evolves from rose petals and peppermint to black berry and plums, then moves to licorice and finishes with hints of mushroom earth tones.

Palate:

This wine’s taste opens with a combination of licorice and raspberry flavors, followed by blueberry and a hint of cedar. The mid palate reveals soft integrated tannins plus sweet vanilla and light cola. The finish is clean with refreshing acidity and a lingering taste of black cherry.
